Andrew Prentice is Professor of International Nutrition at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Based in The Gambia he is Head of the Nutrition and Planetary Health Theme at the MRC Unit The Gambia @ LSHTM. He has researched maternal and child health in low-income settings for over 45 years. Currently, his primary interests are iron, infection, anemia, and the effect of a mother’s diet on the baby’s epigenome at conception. His work has been recognized with national and international awards. He was recently elected an International Member of the US National Academy of Sciences.
